| “JPMorgan Chase’s sixth Partnerships for Raising Opportunities in Neighborhoods (PRO Neighborhoods) CDFI Collaborative Competition officially launched today and closes on April 22, 2019 at midnight (PST). The competition is part of our five-year, $125 million initiative to provide communities with the capital and tools they need to support locally-driven solutions and address key drivers of inequality across the country. Competition Details This year’s request for proposal (RFP), seeks strategies in which capital plays a key role in connecting vulnerable communities to greater economic opportunity in neighborhoods. Specifically, we are soliciting proposals for two opportunities: ‘Planning for Equitable Development Grants’ aka ‘planning grants’ that outline a vision and approach for how a capital strategy by a collaborative of CDFIs can address some of the biggest barriers to opportunity in distressed neighborhoods. Successful applicants will be eligible for a one-year, $100,000 grant. After reviewing the RFP, you can apply online for the planning grants. ‘Collaborative Capital for Equitable Development’ aka ‘capital grants’ for CDFI Collaboratives that outline how they will create a direct link from capital investments to a larger vision that ensures all residents thrive in place. Successful applicants will be eligible for a three-year grant of up to $5 million. After reviewing the RFP, you can apply online for the capital grants. Applications are encouraged from the full list of eligible markets. Proposals are due by April 22, 2019 midnight PST, and winners will be announced in October.
